Step 1Decide if you want your site address to be mysiteaddress.com or www.mysiteaddress.com. Search engines consider them as two separate addresses. Once you choose your url then apply a 301 redirect.

Step 3Create and setup Webmaster accounts for Google and Bing
Step 4Create and setup Google Analytics to be able to track the behaviour of your site visitors.
Step 5Consider your site design and ask yourself:
- Does my site provide enough information about my products / services?
- Is my site easy to navigate and understand?
- This will help you minimize the bounce rate and increase conversion.
Step 6Make sure you have good content on your site. Do not forget to include relevant keywords to your text but in a natural manner. Keywords are essential as your potential customer uses them all the time to search. Google Adwords Keywords tool is a great tool to research for good keywords.
Step 7Create a blog and make sure to keep updating it at least once a month. Your blog should be interesting and attractive to your target market.
Step 8Encourage your existing or past customers to provide reviews. Reviews have the same effect of "word of mouth", it helps your customers in the decision making process (to your favor)...
Step 9It is nice to have a fancy site but you need to make sure that your site is indexable by search engines and that depends on the amount of text you have. Too fancy can cost you!
Step 10Be active on Social Media. Focus where your audience hangs out and create your social media accounts.
